India administers over 81 crore vaccines; daily positivity rate drops below 2 per cent
The total vaccine doses crossed 81.85 crore (81,85,13,827) mark as India administered 96,46,778 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours. Out of the total doses administered in the last 24 hours, the maximum of over 39 crore doses have gone to the 18-44 age group followed by people from the 45-59 age group.

States and UTs had provided over 79.74 crore doses via central government and through direct procurement. After total vaccine administration till now, over 5.34 Crore unutilised doses are still available with the states and UTs while 33 lakh doses are now in the pipeline.
A total of 3,27,49,574 patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic out of which 34,469 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate now stands at 97.75 percent.

The number of new cases reported went below 30,000 with 26,115 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours. This addition takes the active caseload to 3,09,575 which constitutes 0.92 percent of the total positive cases reported in the country.

A total of 14,13,951 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours taking the total number of tests conducted so far to over 55.50 Cr.

The daily positivity rate stands at 1.85 percent. The weekly positivity rate slightly increased from the previous day to 2.08 percent.
